Using Socialmetrix Brands with the filter “United States” we analyzed more than 2 million comments (May 2011) and generated the following report with the Top 10 most mentioned brands on the Internet.
Based on this report Google is the most mentioned brand with 9.40% Share of Voice followed by Apple (6.69%), Microsoft (5.17%), Samsung (5.05%), Youtube (4.42%), Best buy (3.98%), Blackberry (3.80%), Sony (3.32%), Amazon (2.48%) and Coca Cola (1.94%).
It is important to mention that Socialmetrix Brands search for Entities instead of just Keywords which means that it doesn’t matter if the people say “Coca Cola” or “Coke”, we capture the mention either way.
